When and Where?

The Production Designers Gathering will take place between October 21st (arrival) and October 25th (departure) on the island of Spetses, Greece.

Who is this for?

The Gathering is open to production designers and production design students. 

What is the schedule?

Guests will depart from Athens and arrive in Spetses on Friday afternoon, October 21st. Workshops will take place over the weekend and Monday, and Guests are expected to depart on Tuesday morning, October 25th.  

What if I can't stay the whole time?

We're happy to assist with special transportation requests. Please get in touch with us to coordinate further. 

When will the full program be released?

We’re currently working with an amazing lineup of speakers and contributors to put together our program. The full schedule will be announced about a month before the event.

What if I have a suggestion for a workshop?

Wonderful! We're always looking for colleagues to engage and participate. Check out our Get Involved page to learn more.

What is included in the cost of my registration?

Your registration will include the following:

Registration fee includes

  • Travel from Athens port to island and back

  • Opening night party

  • A full program of workshops, panels and roundtables

  • Coffee breaks as per conference program

  • Lunches as per conference program

  • 3 nights of communal dinners

Your registration will not include:

  • Travel to and from Greece

  • Accommodations 

Do you offer discounted accommodations?

Yes we do! Once registered, guests will be offered discounted rates at selected hotels on the island. Check out options here. You can book the discounted accommodations through our website. 

However, the event's registration does not include accommodations and the organizers carry no responsibility in that area.

What if I have more questions about accommodations?

Could you assist with booking international travel?

Although international travel is not covered by event registration, we are working with a local travel agency and will be happy to connect you for further assistance. Please email

Do you offer discounts for early registration?

Yes we do - Early Bird registration includes a 20% discount! Early Bird discount ends on August 1st, 2022.

Can my partner join?

Absolutely! We offer companion tickets that include all non-workshop events. We are also happy to suggest daytime activities for companions.

Can my kids join?

Absolutely! Please get in touch with us to coordinate further. 

Do you have student discounts?

Yes we do! We offer a discounted registration rate for students. Once registered, students are able to enjoy discounted dorm-like accommodations at the event's conference center. We are also crafting special sessions for students and production design educators. Are you a student or a production design professor interested in attending? Get in touch!

Is there funding available to help with registration costs?

We are working tirelessly to find grants and scholarships for colleagues in need of financial aid. If you would like to attend the event but can't afford the full registration cost, please get in touch with us and we will work together to locate additional funds.

What if I'm working and my producers won't give me time off?

What if my plans change and I can't make it?

We all work in the entertainment industry and so we understand the difficulty of committing to any future plans... Luckily, you can cancel your registration and receive a full refund until September 1st, 2022.  After that date no refunds will be given.

Can I transfer my registration to a colleague if I can't make it?

Please email event organizers at to receive further assistance with the transition of registration.

What is your Covid-19 poicy?

All attendees are required to show documentation of being fully vaccinated before traveling to the Gathering or a negative COVID-19 PCR/Rapid test within 48 hours of participation.

You can find the rest of our safety regulations here. We are monitoring the Covid-19 situation closely and will make adjustments to our Covid-19 guidelines if needed. 

What if the in-person event has to be canceled?

We recognize that this is a time of universal uncertainty, and we take the safety and health of our guests and community very seriously. If the Covid-19 situation in Greece dictates the postponement of the Gathering, a new date will be established and announced. All registration will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Purchasers will be notified on how to obtain a refund if they are unable to attend.
