The Gathering is an international conference for production designers
The Production Designers Gathering invites film and television production designers and students from around the world to connect and advance the craft of designing screen worlds.
Inaugurated in 2022, the Gathering brings together 250 production designers for four days of panels, workshops, communal meals and informal conversations on the Greek island of Spetses. In this intimate environment, participants have the unique opportunity to explore their craft amidst a community of fellow designers.

2026 Program
Our journey began on a Friday afternoon with a boat trip to Spetses.
Over three days, panels took place at Ciné Titania, and workshops were held at the Anargyrios and Korgialenios School, a historic cultural heritage site.
The program explored topics such as aesthetics and taste, visual research, adapting literature for the screen, VFX and new technology, leadership, education, advocacy and the responsible use of AI in production design.
Evenings were spent together at communal dinners and receptions across the island.
